My Nursing Philosophy
“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
― Charles Dickens

Nursing is the art and science of caring for those who cannot care for themselves. By making myself available to persons in need, I feel a sense of honor and gratitude through service. I have a passion for sharing and receiving knowledge grounded in truth. I believe every life offers value, and together we all constitute a singular human body.
True health is a value I hold in the highest regard. To me, holistic health is a balance of nurturing the mind, body, and spirit through persistent mindfulness of self and others. A nurse must practice authentic patience, empathy, kindness, diligence, and humility to be genuinely successful directly caring for others. When expressing these admirable qualities to the fullest extent, I know nurses positively affect patients, coworkers, students, and communities to light the path for a more peaceful, sustainable future one interaction at a time.
